Maja Nowakowska also known as Maja Girl Power

Is a young and ambitious 14-year-old, specialising in obstacle running and Ninja-type competitions (known from Ninja Warrior). She proudly represents Poland on the international sports scene, winning top places in prestigious competitions.

In 2023 she achieved significant successes, winning:

  • 1st place at the Ninja World Cup
  • 5th place at the OCR100 World Championships, the 100 metres with hurdles
  • 10th place at the OCR World Championships over 3 km with hurdles
  • 1st place in the Ninja National Ranking

This year she represented Poland at the European OCR Championships and reached the quarter-finals of the 100 metres with obstacles, i.e. OCR100, achieving the best time among Polish women in her age category.

The 2024 season is still underway, but at this point:

  • has won the Ninja Polish Vice-Championship
  • holds first place in the All-Poland OCR100 League
  • holds second place in the All-Poland Ninja League

Her goal for this year is to achieve qualification for the European Championships and the World Championships for 2025.

Sport is her way of life and she wants to infect children with it.
She visits kindergartens and local schools to run sports activities there, and also gives back to charity using her sporting abilities.

How did it start?

Maja has been cycling since she was 3 years old and at the age of 3.5 she won her first medal at a competition. Since then, she trained mountain biking in the best club in Warsaw – the Warsaw Cycling Club, where she stood on the podium more than a hundred times at both provincial and national competitions.

She was always looking for new sporting challenges and in the meantime also competed with good results in orienteering, duathlons, street and cross-country running. She went poledancing and motocross. She has ridden horses, skis, skates and go-karts. She has also tried sport shooting, boxing or KSW.

Her adventure with obstacle running started in 2016 when she ran in Runmageddon, but at that time she only competed when she didn’t have a cycling competition and treated it as great fun.
At school, her above-average talent for sport was evident from the first grade. She took part in all school sports competitions and still represents the school in inter-school competitions with great results.

After school, she attended acrobatics, swimming, aerial acrobatics and climbed the wall. She now continues to fly in the wind tunnel.

Her character did not allow her to sit at home during the pandemic and as soon as the restrictions were loosened, she started going for obstacle training. It turned out, however, that her heart beat faster competing in OCRs. She gave up cycling training.

Now she focuses only on obstacle running and tries to spread as much as she can about this relatively young sport in our country

Ninja Series returns to FIWE!

This time in a slightly different format - Ninja Series Regionals

Ninja Series Regionals are regional competitions held in different parts of Poland and Europe. The difficulty level of the tracks is lowered compared to the Ninja Series League. These competitions are particularly popular with Ninja beginners, who can try their hand and improve their skills before moving up to the next level.
The Ninja Series Regionals are an ideal opportunity for people from all over Europe who want to join the Ninja Series league. A number of competitors have already joined the league this year, with the chance to compete at different levels of difficulty.
The Regionals series is also a great place to make new friends, share experiences and meet people with similar passions. That’s why you should plan your participation in the Ninja Series Regionals now and start your Ninja adventure!

In addition to rewarding the best in the respective competitions, there is also a Ninja Series Regionals league, which is continuously updated and shows a breakdown of all Regionals competitors for the season.
There is also a ‘CHALLENGE zone’ planned for the Fitness Trade Show, where all visitors to the tagri can test themselves in 3 challenges: BALANCE, OBSTACLE FITNESS, OVERHANG
Come and join us!

At FIWE 2024 we invite you to a unique Teqball demonstration

A dynamic sport played on a curved table that is gaining increasing recognition both in Poland and internationally. Thanks to its unique form, the game allows players to improve their technical skills, precision and reflexes, making it extremely valuable for footballers of all levels.

During the fair, you will have the opportunity to see experienced players showcase their skills in this fascinating discipline. Teqball is not only entertaining, it is also an excellent form of training, developing key aspects essential to football. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this unique sport with your own eyes during FIWE 2024!
